Job Description
Do you care about animals, the natural world, the state of the world and how people think about and treat the environment? Do you enjoy teaching? Do you LOVE "bugs" and kids!? Do you (seriously) want to have some fun and make a real difference in this world!? If yes, then through working at the Bug Zoo you have the opportunity to have direct daily contact with all kinds of people who you can teach and have a real positive impact in their lives for the benefit of all life and the environment! The Bug Zoo is home to Giant LIVE tropical insects and arachnids from all around the world. We provide fun, educational and hands-on tours to people of all ages, all walks of life and from all around the world about the importance and beauty and diversity of these special and amazing animals. We help a lot of people overcome their fears about these misunderstood creatures in a fun and interesting way.
We are looking for new staff with a positive attitude toward life. We need people who are outgoing, hardworking, mature, have a very strong foundation in biology/entomology/arachnology but who are also able to work in the giftshop providing world-class customer service and creating eye-catching window displays (ie Multi-talented biologist = artistic/flexible/smart/fun-loving). Daily duties may include morning animal care, tour guiding, front desk admission sales and/or closing shifts and operations.
Full-time.(part-time may also be available, including some weekends/holidays)
To start immediately.
